I’m Lars, a web software developer and consultant from Germany.

I specialize in building and operating web applications with Ruby on Rails and other frameworks, as well as telephony applications (IVR) built on FreeSWITCH and Asterisk. Most of my work runs on self-hosted infrastructure using Dokku and Ansible.

This site is a digital garden — a growing, opinionated collection of notes, learnings, and tools I find useful. Expect posts on Ruby, Rails, AI, CLI tools, self-hosting, and the occasional tangent.

Beyond the screen

I volunteer with a local chamber of commerce on IT vocational examination boards. In my spare time you’ll likely find me outdoors — windsurfing, on the court playing Padel, biking, paddling or hiking.
