I’m Lars, a software architect and consultant from Germany.

I design, build and run web applications — mostly with Ruby on Rails, with the occasional telephony project (IVR) on FreeSWITCH and Asterisk on the side. Most of my work runs on self-hosted infrastructure using Dokku and Ansible.

I work as managing director of IT Consulting Peters, where I help clients ship and operate the systems behind their products.

This site is a digital garden — a growing, opinionated collection of notes, learnings, and tools I find useful. Expect posts on Ruby, Rails, AI, CLI tools, self-hosting, and the occasional tangent.

Beyond the screen

I volunteer with a local chamber of commerce on IT vocational examination boards. In my spare time you’ll likely find me outdoors — windsurfing, on the court playing Padel, biking, paddling or hiking.
